Jagdeep Singh, the founder and former CEO of QuantumScape, has set a global record by becoming the highest-paid employee in the world, earning an annual salary of Rs 17,500 crore. This translates to a staggering Rs 48 crore per day, surpassing the annual revenues of many large corporations.

Jagdeep Singh, an Indian entrepreneur, founded QuantumScape in 2010, a company renowned for its advancements in electric vehicle (EV) battery technology. His journey began with a strong academic foundation, holding a B.Tech from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of California. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Singh gained over a decade of experience across various roles in multiple companies, sharpening his skills in technology and innovation.

Singh's vision for revolutionizing EV battery technology led to the creation of QuantumScape, a company now recognized as a leader in developing solid-state batteries. These next-generation batteries aim to transform EV performance, offering higher efficiency and sustainability.

Under Singh’s leadership, QuantumScape attracted substantial investments from global industry leaders, including Bill Gates and Volkswagen. His innovative strategies and leadership earned him a compensation package that includes stock options valued at approximately $2.3 billion.

On February 16, 2024, Singh stepped down as CEO of QuantumScape, passing the reins to Siva Sivaram. Currently, Singh serves as the CEO of a stealth startup, continuing his journey in the technology sector.
